Releasing the Power of People
Through the Highlands Company Corporate Programs

“Your company’s future depends on its people. A happy and motivated worker is productive, creative and enterprising. A team whose members trust and respect each other can move mountains.”Lazar Emanuel, CEO, The Highlands Company

The Highlands Company is uniquely qualified to infuse your workers with a new sense of their skills and strengths and to propel your managers and teams to higher levels of effectiveness and success. An employee’s most powerful tools are self-knowledge and self-awareness. The Highlands Company has piloted and perfected a series of programs that help employees to sharpen these tools. The programs have been used by such companies as IBM, GSK, JPMorganChase, Coca Cola, Cingular, Cisco and Bell South.

The Highlands Programs are built on the eight factors of the Highlands Personal Vision Wheel. To define a worker’s abilities, the Highlands Company uses the gold standard among assessment tests – the Highlands Ability Battery™. The Battery is an objective test of nineteen separate abilities, each measured by a time-tested worksample. The Battery is available online and on a CD. The employee’s results are reported and analyzed in a detailed thirty-three page report.

Following the Battery, your employees take part in a two-hour personalized consultation with a Certified Highlands Affiliate. Over the years, the Highlands Company has trained and certified more than 165 Affiliates throughout the world. The Affiliates lead the employees in an intensive discussion of their strengths and challenges.

Highlands Corporate Programs:
  • Personal and Professional Development Program. This is a one-day Workshop conducted by a trained Highlands Facilitator. Through a number of exercises, the Facilitator leads the participants through the eight factors in the Personal Vision Wheel. The aim is to build self-awareness, to learn more about others, and to clarify life and career objectives. At the end of the Workshop, each employee creates a Personal Vision and completes a Personal Development Plan and a Career Vision Statement.

  • Team Building Program. The objective of this program is to identify a team, to integrate its members into a cohesive unit, to overcome challenges and to identify and manage the “people side” of a team. The Team Building workshops focus on problem-solving, mutual appreciation, leadership, communication styles, risk-taking, decision-making, trust, diversity and conflict management. The Workshops are conducted over a full day involving many exercises. At the end, the members define the team’s goals and create a Team Vision.
