The next step in the Highlands Program after completion of the Highlands Ability Battery is a two-hour feedback consultation with a Certified Highlands Affiliate. Results on the Highlands Ability Battery™ require skillful interpretation and explanation by a trained Highlands Affiliate. The Affiliate studies the 33-page report which summarizes your scores in all nineteen worksamples and relates them to your career and your needs. A feedback consultation directed to students will consider college choices, college curriculums, college majors and college selection. A consultation with an adult will encompass career changes, career transitions, career exploration, career guidance and career advice. The Highlands Company has trained more than 150 Affiliates to conduct feedback and consultation. Each Affiliate qualifies by education and training to guide you to an understanding of your natural abilities and to help you develop a Personal Vision for success and happiness. This website was designed for the specific purpose of enabling you to review the qualifications of our Affiliates and to select the Affiliate you prefer to contact. We have listed our Affiliates alphabetically and geographically, as well as individually by specialty and interest. To view our Affiliates, click here The Highlands feedback consultation lasts two hours and is conducted either live or by telephone. The Affiliate conducting the conference concentrates first on a review of your abilities as measured by the Highlands Ability Battery™, first in abilities testing. The Affiliate explains each result and identifies the ways in which each ability can be used in your life, education or work. The Affiliate describes how abilities can come together to form patterns or clusters. When you know these patterns, you can mold your life and career to achieve greater satisfaction and fulfillment. During the consultation, the Affiliate discusses how your abilities affect the four major areas of your life and work (the Four Key Dimensions). These are: the environment in which you are most satisfied and successful; the way you take in new information best; how you make decisions and solve problems most effectively; and how you communicate ideas to others. The Affiliate will also help you to express and describe to others how your abilities relate to those activities and tasks generally found in the workplace. This will help you in preparing your application for college admission, or your resume in connection with employment interviews related to a career change or a job change. In addition to providing feedback on natural abilities, many Affiliates also offer career advice, career coaching, career counseling, and business coaching, in addition to extended programs in which they connect their knowledge of your abilities with other factors. This will help you make sound choices in your education and career. Return to Introduction |
