The Highlands Company has more than 200 Affiliates throughout the world. The Highlands Affiliate Training Program enables qualified candidates to administer the Highlands Ability Battery™ and feedback consultation. Training programs are conducted monthly.

To qualify for training and certification, applicants are required to work in the fields of human relations, coaching, consulting, psychology, counseling, corporate consultation, career consultation, educational consultation, or human resources.

Applicants who wish to qualify for training are required to complete training in both individual feedback and group feedback. Individual feedback is a two-hour one-to-one consultation in which the Affiliate interprets an individual's scores on the Highlands Ability Battery™. Group feedback involves the same process of interpretation and explanation, but is administered to a group of individuals, only some of whom may have received individual feedback.

Each training program consists of live sessions over two consecutive days in New York or Atlanta, or eight two-hour sessions conducted by telephone over a period of weeks. Training is provided by a Highlands representative with years of experience in administering the Highlands CD and feedback and in conducting the Highlands Certification Program. In preparation for training, each candidate is required to complete the Ability Battery and feedback. Each trainee is required also to prepare two practice feedback reports and to conduct two practice feedback conferences. The feedback conferences are monitored by the trainer.

The cost of training as a Highlands Affiliate is $1,750. This includes the training manual and other materials, as well as the cost of Battery and feedback.
