Major Quest, LLC specializes in helping young adults with the daunting task of finding career direction, hopefully before they experience the added stress and expense associated with changing majors, schools, and jobs. Major Quest uses the three most recognized career assessments (Highlands Ability Battery, Myers -Briggs Type Indicator, and Strong Interest Inventory) to determine a client´s personality type, interests, values, natural abilities, and learning style. These career factors are combined to identify "best-fit" careers, majors, work roles and environments, those in which the client is most likely to be successful and satisfied. Clients receive 3-4 hours of individualized feedback as well as detailed career reports from each assessment. In addition, clients are provided specific "next steps" for moving forward in the career decision-making process. Adult career changers are also welcome. Group programs are also available.

Tom Christofferson has not forgotten the depth of despair associated with changing his major for the third time as a senior in college. During the 20 years he spent as a counselor at Los Alamos High School, Tom observed hundreds of former students change majors, schools, and careers in their quest for career satisfaction. He became increasingly frustrated with the lack of attention given to career decision- making in schools. Major Quest was begun to help address the needs of first time career seekers. Since the most effective career decisions are based on personality, the MQ program begins with identifying each client´s unique gifts and talents. Tom is committed to giving his clients self-understanding, clear direction, and career decision making tools while respecting their right to reach their own conclusions.

As a senior in high school making college and career decisions, our son benefited greatly from the services offered by Major Quest.

I wish that I could have taken these tests prior to going to college. It would have saved me time, money, and I would have been able to avoid the frustrations of not being happy in my career.
Amanda (27), Houston, TX

Our daughters used Major Quest. It helped them to develop an understanding not only of their career choices but also of themselves. James & Jennifer, Los Alamos, NM

Tom was so easy to work with. I really learned a lot about myself and careers... I also learned a lot about how I work and learn best. Best of all, I have settled on a career path (speech and language pathology)... I hadn't even considered it before.
Lindsey (20), Portland, OR
