 As a career and life coach, for the past twenty years I have worked with adults and students who are facing important transitions in their lives. Whether they are developing a career path, targeting their next job, or preparing to take on new roles at work or outside of it, they are more likely to achieve their goals when they can identify and build on their strengths. Because the Highlands Ability Battery so powerfully illuminates these strengths, it is a key part of the coaching process I use and one which often provides a break through experience for my clients.
I've always been good at jigsaw puzzles. I think I use the same abilities as a coach and counselor. People have complex lives, with lots of pieces. You need to look closely at each piece, but you can't lose sight of the big picture, and you need to have a plan. It can be fun to do it together.
My focus is helping people define and realize their goals and fulfill their potential. I think that focusing on strengths is crucial to these endeavors. I believe in the Highlands "Whole Person" approach because career and life are not separate compartments. In fact, it is essential to find a way to integrate them in order for people to express who they are.

Certified by the Highlands Company in 1995, I have coached over 600 clients using the Highlands Ability Battery and "Whole Person" approach to career, education and life planning. I have had a private consulting practice in the Chicago area since 1985, taught career counseling at the graduate level, and am certified in personal, executive and outplacement coaching.
